| We kicked off the Datalogz India Roadshow with a special, invite-only evening at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, co-hosted with our friends at e6data. Over 50 senior data and analytics leaders joined us for an evening of candid discussion, phenomenal food, and live music in a setting that matched the ambition of the conversations: what it really takes to make enterprise data and AI work at scale. Across the room, the same pressure points kept surfacing. Leaders are under intense scrutiny to show ROI on data investments, yet most are still grappling with BI sprawl across multiple tools, overlapping workspaces, and thousands of under-governed reports. AI is firmly on the roadmap, but the blockers are more fundamental: fragmented governance, unclear ownership of metrics, rising Power BI and Fabric costs, and limited visibility into how BI assets are actually used day to day. What stood out in Hyderabad was how openly leaders spoke about the real cost of this complexity. Conflicting dashboards are eroding trust in "the number," capacity overruns are burning budget, and data teams are spending more time firefighting than driving strategic initiatives. The consensus in the room was clear: without a dedicated BI Ops layer, organizations are flying blind in the one part of the stack that business users touch the most. For Datalogz, this is exactly where we come in – giving teams a control tower for BI. From surfacing duplicate and similar reports to monitoring consumption and capacity, to enforcing governance at scale, BI Ops is shifting from a "nice-to-have" to critical infrastructure for modern data teams. Hyderabad was just the beginning. As the Datalogz India Roadshow continued through Bengaluru and Mumbai, our product and engineering teams met data, BI, and IT leaders to go deeper on BI governance, cost optimization, analytics sprawl, and AI-readiness in the BI layer. |
