Nigeria: Persecutors Come to Christ!
Dear Family,
Members of the Fulani Islamic tribe in northern Nigeria are coming to Christ, including those who previously persecuted Christians. And in this email, I am going to share how this is being accomplished and how you can help.
As you are probably aware, the situation in northern Nigeria is horrific. Churches have been burned, schoolchildren kidnapped with young girls forcibly married to Muslims, and pastors have had their heads cut off. Thousands of our brothers and sisters have been martyred this past year.
A woman mourns the deaths of fellow Christians after an attack during a church service.
So how are these same terrorists coming to Christ?
For over 20 years, a group of mission workers were using a printed version of the Bible in the Fulfulde language, the language of the Fulani. However, the Fulani typically don’t read Fulfulde. Fulfulde is a spoken language and not taught in schools beyond primary years.
When these missionaries switched to audio Bibles, the Fulani were hearing the message of the Gospel in their heart language for the first time, and it made all the difference in the world.
These missionary teams saw the potential of multimedia and established
film teams to bring the message of Christ to the Fulani with projectors. They witnessed hundreds coming to Christ where none had previously.
However, with the increased persecution, nighttime showings of Christian films have had to be significantly reduced. It’s simply too dangerous even for those who go out at night to watch the films.

So when the leader of these mission teams saw our solar-powered iBIBLE tablets in our office last week, his eyes lit up. He enthusiastically asked me, “How can I get these!? I don’t have much money, but this is exactly what we need to reach more persecutors for Christ!”
God has opened a tremendous door for us in northern Nigeria. There are hundreds of teams waiting and willing to use these tablets to reach out to the major Islamic groups persecuting and killing Christians.
The first thing I am doing to help is translating and dubbing The Real Story of Jesus into the Fulfulde and Kanuri languages (common among the members of terrorist group Boko Haram). If you would like to sponsor either or both languages, you can for $2,500 each.
If God is leading you to sponsor either of these languages, I’m asking that you reach out to me directly at info@revelationmedia.com. I am praying for one or two people who are being led to personally sponsor them.
Next, I have committed to providing an initial 30 of our solar-powered iBIBLE tablet kits to the workers in northern Nigeria who are putting their own lives on the line to share Christ.
I know it may take a little time to raise enough funds for all 30 tablet kits, but we must stand with these workers. There are many efforts to stop the persecution, and for these missionaries, it is by sharing the love of Jesus!
There are many efforts to stop the persecution, and for these missionaries, it is by sharing the love of Jesus!
I will be releasing an episode of The iBIBLE Podcast soon featuring Peter, the leader of these missionary teams. It was an incredible interview filled with sorrow and with hope. Peter even shared how an Islamic terrorist came to Christ while killing a Christian. That man then became a leading evangelist among his own people, leading many persecutors to Christ.
Again, the situation in northern Nigeria is heartbreaking. I applaud political pressure and an increase in security forces to help stop the persecution. However, God has called us to a different work: to share Jesus even with those who kill Christians. I know it is hard to even imagine, but this is exactly what these missionary teams are doing.
It is understandable to hate the Fulani persecutors. However, Peter told me, “The missionary teams don’t see them as their enemy. They see them as their mission field. They want to see them come to Christ!”
Please consider joining us in providing the first30solar-powered iBIBLE tablet kitsto these workers in northern Nigeria. They are taking the risks. They are paying their own way. All they are asking is for us to give them the tools.
Thank you for your consideration. It is hard to imagine it was just over two years ago we released the short iBIBLE film The Real Story of Jesus and just one year ago we introduced the solar-powered iBIBLE tablet kits. These have both become such powerful tools for ministry with nearly 500,000 recorded indications to follow Jesus. Thanks be to God!
