Take Billy, a 77-year-old Navy veteran facing health challenges, including a recent lung cancer diagnosis. His lifelong dream was to visit Washington, D.C., to honor his fellow servicemen and find his best friend's name on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall.

Wish of a Lifetime made his dream come true by organizing an emotional tour of Washington, D.C., and when Billy returned home to Cheyenne, Wyoming, he was greeted by his community with a welcome rally and a celebratory motorcade through the city.

"They said, 'Welcome home.' That just got to me, that hit me. Finally, we're getting the recognition that we should've gotten years ago," Billy said.
