In summer 2026, the Witherspoon Institute will again host residential seminars in philosophy, law, and public affairs for students and young adults of exceptional character with the courage to think for themselves. Hosted in and around Princeton, New Jersey, these tackle modern issues and perennial questions on human flourishing—questions about freedom and responsibility, technology and community, and the nature of virtue. The Witherspoon Institute offers four summer seminars: · 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 & 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 for high school juniors and seniors; · 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 for undergraduate juniors and seniors; · 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘢𝘸 & 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴 for advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and young professionals; · 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳 for graduate students and early-career faculty. The seminars will be led by scholars including Abigail Favale, Robert P. George, Sherif Girgis, Ryan T. Anderson, Ana Samuel, and R. J. Snell, among many other distinguished thinkers. Grounded in classical texts and conducted in lively Socratic discussions, these seminars are challenging, formative, and, for many, life changing. Apply Now! |
