I'm an investor, not a social commentator. Many folks in my business forget that. |
Just because some guy made a whole pile of money in financial markets doesn't make him an expert on telling you how to think about what's going on in the world outside of finance. |
This is the reason why I never get political in my writings. My work is for everyone. Regardless of your personal beliefs, there's one thing that unites us… We all want a brighter financial future for ourselves and our families. |
That's something I can help you with. |
Whether the forced removal of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro was right or wrong? I'm sorry, you are on your own with that one. |
Those of you who recently joined me at my newest publication, The Asymmetric Edge, know that I'm extremely bullish on oil stocks. Even before Maduro's capture, a handful of oil stocks had been making new highs even though crude prices were having their worst year since 2020. |
When a commodity is down 20% in a year, but its biggest producers are making new highs… you want to pay attention to that type of disconnect. The stock market is telling you something. Massive bets are being made on higher oil stock prices regardless of the current weakness in crude oil. |
To ignore that kind of message from the market would be a huge financial mistake. |
Since late 2025, I've been telling you there is a handoff in the market from overvalued AI Builders to undervalued AI Adopters. |
I launched The Asymmetric Edge to put my readers in a position to profit from this next wave of AI adoption that will power the next cohort of AI millionaires. |
Since launching The Asymmetric Edge last month, the average big-cap AI stock has dropped about 4%. Meanwhile, our handful of carefully curated AI Adopters have been up as much as 9%. |
If you are hoping Palantir, Nvidia, and Mag 7 stocks are going to move the needle on your net worth – please think again. |
They have had their life-changing moves already. The time to buy them was 5-10 years ago. That's when I recommended Nvidia, Amazon, Tesla, and a slew of other big tech names. |
The game has moved on... And if you don't move on with it, you could be doomed to a decade or more of underperformance. |
2026 and beyond belongs to the AI Adopters. The companies that will use AI to drive massive cost savings across their sprawling, inefficient global empires. |
Venezuelan Oil Won't Flood the Market Any Time Soon |
There are few businesses more inefficient or bigger than companies in the oil business. |
As an investor, the question I asked myself as I watched the military drama in Venezuela play out was: How does this affect my investment thesis in oil? After all, Venezuela sits on approximately $18 trillion of proven oil reserves – the world's largest. |
The knee-jerk reaction for most investors will be that this is very bearish for oil prices. I don't think it will be. |
Here's why… |
Even though Venezuela sits on an ocean of oil, its share of global oil production is less than 1%. The country's previous leader, Hugo Chávez, essentially nationalized the oil industry in 2007. American oil companies working in Venezuela lost as much as $25 billion. |
With the loss of American know-how, Venezuelan oil production fell off a cliff. It went from as high as 3.5 million barrels per day to as low as 800,000 barrels per day. In the process, the oil equipment was mismanaged, undermaintained, and ultimately fell into disrepair. |
Some estimates suggest it could take as much as $150 billion to rebuild Venezuela's oil industry. |
Friends, hear me when I tell you: There's not an oil major that will even consider going back to Venezuela without massive security guarantees and thousands of security forces on the ground. |
Could it happen? Sure it could. Will it happen in a timeframe that will meaningfully impact the price of crude oil? Heck no. |
What is more likely is that Venezuelan oil production could fall over the next several years as the country struggles to reorient itself under new leadership. |
Even in a highly optimistic scenario, it could be as long as 10-15 years before Venezuelan oil becomes a meaningful part of global oil production. |
| | | | Sell Nvidia. Buy These Instead. | | Nvidia has had another historic year. | But according to Big T, the easy money is already gone. | He first recommended Nvidia back in 2015... before it surged more than 25,000%. | Today, he says it's no longer cheap. | That's why he's shifted his focus away from Nvidia and toward five overlooked stocks he believes are trading at a massive discount to the average high-flying AI name. | These companies aren't building AI. | They're using it, and Big T believes that's where the next phase of gains will come from. | He's urging everyone to look at these names before February 17th. | |

The Real Oil Story: A Supply Crunch Is Coming |
Oil is a cyclical business. And right now, we're deep in the underinvestment phase of that cycle. |
Because oil prices have hit five-year lows, producers have stopped investing heavily in new supplies. |
|
Today, upstream investment – which focuses on finding and extracting crude oil and natural gas – is more than 60% below its 2014 peak. And nearly 90% of spending goes just to offset natural decline, not add new production. |
The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that without sustained investment, global oil supply will decline by about 5.5 million barrels per day every year. That's more than 5% of global supply vanishing from the market – annually. |
Friends, we're looking at a future when demand will definitively outstrip supply. And because it takes five to seven years to bring new oil online, I believe the price response will be explosive. |
I had my team go through the numbers. And based on our research, oil could be trading at $100 or more by 2030 – a more than 72% increase from today's prices. |
Can you see how powerful a tailwind this will be for oil stocks? And that doesn't factor in the huge cost savings these companies will see from the adoption of AI across their vast enterprises. None of this is priced in yet. |

|
That's where our opportunity lies. But the biggest gains won't be spread evenly. |
I believe the largest winners will be oil giants deploying AI at scale to slash costs, expand margins, and deliver outsized profits directly to shareholders. |
How AI Will Supersize Oil Profits |
If you've been following me recently, you know I believe the biggest gains won't come from companies building AI infrastructure – like Nvidia, Broadcom, and TSMC. |
They were the AI Builders – the big winners of Phase One of the AI boom. |
Phase Two belongs to the AI Adopters. I'm talking about legacy blue-chip companies that will plug AI into already profitable businesses. |
These companies don't need to build AI infrastructure from scratch. That's why I call them "stealth" AI plays. |
And the next industry ripe for this AI transformation is energy. |
Think of old-school oil and gas operations. To find deposits of viable natural resources, they spend $50-60 billion every year on exploration. And even then, if they're looking in a new area, the success rate is only around 10%. |
That's a lot of risk to take on without any promise of a payoff. And that's where the potential for AI comes in. |
Oil companies are using AI-driven seismic imaging to complete in weeks what used to take months. This is improving well placement dramatically, and raising recovery rates by as much as 30-40%. They're deploying autonomous drilling systems that adjust in real time without human intervention. This boosts safety, reduces downtime, and lowers labor costs. And they're using AI models to process trillions of data points to anticipate equipment failures and automatically adjust operations.
|
Just think about this… |
When an energy company generating hundreds of billions in annual revenues improves its margins by just 1%... That's billions dropping straight to the bottom line and into your pocket as a shareholder. |
That is why I recently recommended a legacy oil company that's plugging AI into its sprawling global operations. |
Right now, it's trading at a 87% discount to popular AI names like Alphabet, Amazon, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla. On top of that, it pays a dividend 14.5 times higher than these companies, two of which pay no dividend at all. |
You'll find the name of this oil major in my new research service, The Asymmetric Edge. |
And I've included five other "stealth" AI Adopters in my new special report, Nvidia's Paycheck Program: The Top Five Companies for Massive AI Payouts. |
Friends, the mainstream financial media is fixated on Venezuela because it's dramatic. But Venezuela isn't the real oil story. |
The real story is about best-in-class energy companies using AI to extract more value from every barrel while turning themselves into profit volcanoes. |
That's why AI Adopters will be the biggest beneficiaries of this second phase of the AI boom. So, before you put another dollar into Nvidia, Apple, or any other popular AI stock, get all the details on what you should be buying instead. |
