The fact is, Muslim tribes and warrior groups like the Fulani and Boko Haram are taught from a young age to hate Christians. They may give other reasons for persecuting Christians, but these don’t change the foundational evil that is taught within their tribes. Northern Nigeria is experiencing some of the worst persecution of Christians in the world with thousands being martyred every year. The pressure being put on Nigeria from the US government to respond is long overdue, and the Christians there are very thankful for it. It is slowly making a difference. Missionary teams in northern Nigeria are risking their lives to bring their persecutors to Christ. Many Christian families have forgiven the persecutors and are sharing Jesus with them. Thousands of terrorists are coming to Christ! WATCH STEVE’S PODCAST WITH PETER Steve records a podcast with Peter, the leader of our partner missionary teams in northern Nigeria. In my podcast with Peter, he even shares how previous persecutors and killers of Christians have become evangelists to their tribes and then have themselves been martyred. As I have stated before, it’s like the Book of Acts is still being written today in northern Nigeria!   To date, we have raised enough funds to supply Peter’s teams with 50 solar-powered iBIBLE tablet kits, and we have set a goal of translating The Real Story of Jesus into the top 10 indigenous languages of northern Nigeria.   Now We Need to Translate All Our iBIBLE Genesis Episodes into Hausa   We have been asked by the missionary teams in northern Nigeria to translate all our iBIBLE Genesis episodes in Hausa, the main language of the north. Hausa is the gateway language to other languages in northern Nigeria, so we need to strategically translate our iBIBLE Genesis episodes into Hausa first.   The churches in northern Nigeria are hungry for more discipleship material, and they love our iBIBLE episodes. There are more than 40 million people, predominately Muslims, who speak Hausa in northern Nigeria, and only a small percentage are considered reached.   I first announced this translation last week, and we had a very slow start to its funding. I think this is understandable given the holiday season. iBIBLE Genesis in Hausa has the potential to reach 40 million Muslims with the true story of the Bible. However, I am really hoping, and praying, that we can have our iBIBLE Genesis episodes, along with all the accompanying resources, translated into Hausa as soon as possible.   Any donation amount will help. And an entire episode with resources in the Hausa language can be sponsored for only $900.   The situation in northern Nigeria is critical from three fronts: Many people are lying about the persecution; thousands of Christians are being martyred; and missionary teams are bravely bringing the persecutors to Christ!   I am so thankful God brought strategic partners to us so we can have “boots on the ground” in Nigeria and share our iBIBLE videos and iBIBLE tablets.
