When I first felt led to start a nonprofit, it was to distribute our animated film, The Pilgrim’s Progress, which was still in production. I put out a fleece—a crazy fleece that even my friends laughed at when they heard about it. (It was crazy enough that I didn’t blame them!) But God answered that fleece at the exact time and in the exact way I had prayed.
Later, I had a dream in which I believed God said He had an important work for me to do—one that would greatly impact world missions and turn our lives upside down. And it certainly did. iBIBLE was born.
Debra and I spent over a year trying to hire someone to lead the ministry. I didn’t want it to be me. I struggled with a speech impediment and preferred to remain safely behind the scenes.
When we were unable to find someone, I agreed to serve as Director, knowing I might make a fool of myself. Yet during my very first radio interview, God healed me of my speech impediment—without me even asking.
On the first day we went public with the ministry, we had 11 email addresses. Debra and I worked out of our living room, and RevelationMedia was born.
That was Easter Sunday, 2018—not even eight years ago.
Today, we reach more than 550,000 people daily by email, work in dozens of countries and over 150 languages, and our content has been viewed more than 50 million times. Over 500,000 people have shared that they prayed for salvation after watching The Real Story of Jesus.
I don’t say this to brag. God has done all of it. I was neither worthy nor capable of leading this ministry. At one point, I wasn’t even willing. God has brought us this far, and I believe He will continue to guide us through the trials and opportunities ahead.
Okay, enough about me—let’s talk about you. Do you feel led to join our team?
