Don’t Miss Our Next Update—Get Real-Time Alerts Sent Directly To Your Phone. Up To 10X Faster Than Email. Check Out VWAV While It’s Still Early... July 23, 2026 Dear Reader, Here is why VisionWave Holdings (Nasdaq: VWAV) is the first name on our screen this morning. The last time we put VWAV in front of you, shares made an approximate 100% move in less than 24 hours. That was driven by a single headline. Since then, the company has stacked nine announcements in five weeks spanning patents, acquisitions, defense exhibition debuts, and a new European commercialization deal. Take a look at (VWAV) while it’s still early.
Approx. 100% move source can be seen here. Fresh developments have put this company squarely back on our radar. Start with the numbers. The world spent $2.8T on defense in 2025, a new record, and that figure is climbing. Congress has locked in more than $1T for U.S. defense spending in 2026, and the Pentagon wants $1.5T for 2027. Across Europe, military outlays jumped 14% to $864B last year, the fastest rise NATO's European members have recorded since 1953. Poland leads the alliance at 4.1% of GDP dedicated to defense. Germany broke through 2% for the first time since reunification. Every one of those dollars is being channeled into the same category: autonomous systems, AI-powered sensing, unmanned vehicles, and counter-drone technologies. The age of legacy hardware-only defense procurement is ending. What's replacing it is a new generation of integrated, software-defined platforms that operate across air, ground, and sea domains simultaneously. That's the backdrop for what just crossed our desk. VisionWave Holdings (Nasdaq: VWAV) is a Nasdaq-listed defense technology holding company building a dual-market autonomous systems platform spanning military and commercial infrastructure. Created through a business combination in July 2025, VisionWave has completed six acquisitions or strategic transactions in under a year. The company holds 25 patents (20 granted, 5 pending), operates out of offices in the U.S., UK, France, and Israel, and just made its international defense debut at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, the largest defense exhibition in the world. VWAV has less than 19M shares listed as available to the public. When companies have small floats like this, the potential exists for big moves if demand begins to shift. The last time we highlighted VWAV, on June 30, 2026, the company announced its definitive agreement to acquire a 51% controlling interest in Meteor Aerospace, and shares made an approximate 100% move that same session. And the news flow has not slowed down. In the past month alone, VisionWave has unveiled combat-ready drone platforms at the world's largest defense show, signed a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling interest in Meteor Aerospace, appointed Stratonex Defence Technologies as its UK and European commercialization partner, and filed two new provisional patent applications covering next-generation radar and satellite-free communications architectures. What VisionWave Holdings (Nasdaq: VWAV) Actually Does
At its core, VisionWave Holdings is a dual-market holding company building autonomous systems platforms and sensing technologies that span military and civilian applications. The company's R&D is focused on proprietary AI, computational acceleration, and RF-based sensing designed for deployment across unmanned ground, air, and sea vehicles. The model is flexible by design. VisionWave can build and deliver full autonomous platforms like its own VARAN UGV, or it can act as a payload and control systems supplier to existing third-party vehicle platforms.
The operating model is structured as a holding company where VisionWave retains IP ownership and R&D leadership at the parent level, while operating subsidiaries execute in defined markets. This architecture enables shared core technologies across market verticals while maintaining capital efficiency. The company's revenue model centers on product sales, technology licensing, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. VisionWave's subsidiary ecosystem currently includes VisionWave Technologies (wholly owned, defense-focused), Solar Drone (wholly owned, commercial drone-mounted payload systems for solar and infrastructure cleaning), and CMFBM/Composite Materials Ltd. (majority-owned, Israel's largest privately held composite material manufacturer for aerospace). The company also holds a partial equity position in an AI-powered road safety technology firm with the potential to grow that position to 51%, and has signed a definitive agreement to acquire up to 52% of a Nasdaq-listed stereo vision and thermal imaging company for $17.5 Mln in VWAV equity, adding computer vision and 3D obstacle detection capabilities to its sensing architecture. Most recently, VisionWave signed a definitive agreement to acquire 51% of Meteor Aerospace for approximately $20.4 Mln. The company completed its acquisition of the xClibre AI video intelligence IP portfolio in April 2026, independently valued at approximately $60 Mln by BDO Consulting Group. This acquisition moved VisionWave from a primarily RF-based platform toward an integrated multi-modal intelligence stack combining RF detection, stereo/thermal computer vision, and AI video analytics, all unified through autonomous command-and-control decision pipelines. Positioned Across $7T in Addressable Markets
The structural advantage behind VisionWave's model is the breadth of its target market. Rather than competing in a single vertical, the company has built a platform that spans both military and commercial demand curves, and both are moving higher at the same time. Global military expenditure hit a record $2.9T last year according to SIPRI. Looking further out, the estimated addressable market in defense and homeland security alone exceeds $2T on a global basis, spanning autonomous weapons and UAV systems, counter-drone technology, border security and surveillance, critical infrastructure protection, electronic warfare, and fire control and targeting.
On the civilian and commercial side, VisionWave's corporate overview estimates addressable markets exceeding $5T across autonomous vehicles ($300B+), energy and exploration, commercial drones and delivery, smart city infrastructure ($820B+), medical imaging ($47B+), industrial automation ($395B+), and agricultural technology. What makes VisionWave's approach structurally different from pure-play defense contractors or pure-play commercial tech companies is the dual-use technology transfer model. Technologies developed for military applications, such as see-through-wall threat detection, GPS-denied autonomous navigation, and combat zone image enhancement, are designed to cross over into civilian applications like building inspection, 5G infrastructure, IoT sensor networks, and medical imaging systems. The reverse is also true: civilian drone collision avoidance and swarm coordination technologies feed back into military tactical operations. This shared technology stack allows VisionWave to leverage a single R&D program across multiple markets, reducing per-unit costs while creating efficiencies that can accelerate development across both domains. Global defense modernization is accelerating the adoption of autonomous systems at a pace that was unthinkable five years ago. The Pentagon's proposed largest-ever single-year spending on drones and counter-UAS has created a procurement environment where companies with working hardware and AI-native software integration have a structural advantage over legacy contractors still adapting to the shift. At the same time, commercial infrastructure is becoming increasingly automated and data-driven, creating parallel demand for the same sensing and autonomy capabilities that defense programs require. VisionWave sits at the intersection of both of those demand curves. Recent Milestones July 17, 2026
