August 31, 2026

Dear Reader,

With less than 90 minutes before the session begins, attention remains fixed on Mobix Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOBX).

The company has spent the past several weeks rapidly expanding its national security strategy while its core business points toward a sharp sequential revenue increase.

Two definitive acquisition agreements in three weeks.

A board-approved strategic expansion framework.

A proposed corporate rebrand.

And fiscal Q4 revenue guidance pointing to roughly 100% sequential growth at the midpoint.

When that much happens that fast at a nano-cap company, the natural instinct is to look for gaps in the story…

But the data trail coming out of Mobix Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOBX) over the past six weeks is unusually coherent — and it adds up to a company that's attempting something ambitious with a very small footprint.

The Irvine, California-based company has operated for years as a defense and aerospace electronics maker, supplying advanced connectivity, RF, sensing, and electromagnetic-interference (EMI) technologies to mission-critical programs across the defense industrial base.

That business is still running — and by the numbers, accelerating.

But the company is now layering on two entirely new verticals — American-built drones and rare earth elements — while simultaneously repositioning its corporate identity around a national security mandate.

The question is whether the pieces fit together…

And on the evidence available today, the argument is worth examining carefully.

This is only part of the reason why Mobix Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOBX) is topping our watchlist today—Monday, August 31, 2026.

One thing to keep in mind, (NASDAQ: MOBX) has a float less than 15M listed as available to the public—with a float that small, the potential exists for big moves if demand begins to shift.

The Strategic Repositioning — What the Data Shows

The most significant structural development came on July 21, when the Board of Directors unanimously approved the launch of a National Security Matters (NSM) Initiative — a growth framework organized around four pillars spanning critical resources and advanced materials, defense and autonomous systems, energy and critical infrastructure, and digital and strategic technologies.

Each of those pillars aligns with categories the federal government has designated as national priorities — from critical minerals sourcing to autonomous systems manufacturing to digital infrastructure resilience.

Six days later, the board approved a proposal to rename the company NSM Labs, Inc., subject to shareholder approval.

Executive Chairman James Peterson was explicit about the intent: "NSM Labs is not simply a new name — it is a declaration of our mission."

The rebrand matters less for the name itself and more for what it signals about resource allocation…

A company changing its identity to align with a specific government spending category is making a capital commitment — and the two acquisition agreements that followed suggest the execution is already underway.

That sequence — framework, then rebrand, then acquisitions — is worth noting because it suggests a plan being executed in deliberate order, not a series of one-off announcements.

Meanwhile, the core business is showing real momentum.

The company guided for fiscal Q4 2026 revenue of $1.4M to $1.8M, driven by shipments from its EMI Solutions and RaGE Systems divisions — representing approximately 100% quarter-over-quarter growth at the midpoint.

CEO Phil Sansone underscored the significance: "We are proud to announce that these shipments are from our core business, both EMI Solutions and RaGE Systems… We are excited about our new name and direction, but we want to recognize that our core business is as important as it has ever been."

That's a meaningful data point — because it suggests the expansion isn't cannibalizing focus from the existing revenue base.

The foundation is growing while the new pillars go up.

The Drone Vertical — Evidence of Market Alignment

On July 24, Mobix Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOBX) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Vision Aerial, Inc., a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of American-built, National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant unmanned aerial systems.

The factual case for this acquisition rests on several verifiable points…

Vision Aerial is founded, manufactured, and headquartered in Montana — a U.S.-based operation from end to end.

Its customers and end-users include the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, government agencies, energy and utility operators, and research institutions.

Its drones support interchangeable sensors — high-resolution imaging, thermal imaging, LiDAR, and multispectral sensing — enabling a single platform to serve multiple mission profiles across defense, infrastructure, search-and-rescue, wildfire response, and environmental monitoring.

That versatility is a competitive advantage in procurement environments that value platform consolidation.

The broader context supports the direction…

According to Grand View Research, the U.S. drone market was estimated at $29.3B in 2025 and is projected to reach $58.5B by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 8.3%.

Federal procurement is actively shifting toward secure, domestically manufactured drone platforms.

NDAA compliance requirements are accelerating that shift — and companies already qualified and delivering to government customers have a meaningful head start as that procurement pipeline expands.

The strategic logic also extends beyond hardware.

By combining Vision Aerial's platforms with the company's RF, sensing, connectivity, and defense-electronics capabilities, (MOBX) is working to build a broader aerial intelligence offering — drones plus sensors plus communications plus data analysis — that could serve defense, government, energy, and industrial customers from an integrated technology base.

The Critical Minerals Layer — Upstream Supply Chain Control

The second acquisition addresses a different part of the national security equation — and the evidence for it may be even more compelling from a macro standpoint…

On August 13, the company executed a definitive agreement to acquire Special Project Delivery, Inc. (SPD), a strategic infrastructure platform building U.S. supply chains for rare earth elements, critical minerals, and energy storage.

The deal is structured as an all-share transaction, with consideration not to exceed 4.8M shares of common equity, and is expected to close before year-end 2026.

SPD's pipeline spans critical minerals and rare earths, energy and critical infrastructure, Western U.S. water resilience, and carbon and biosolids.

The underlying argument from SPD's leadership is data-driven: the binding constraint on U.S. national security manufacturing is no longer design or fabrication capacity — it's secure access to the underlying materials and the energy and water systems required to process them.

That argument is supported by the numbers.

According to IMARC Group, the global rare earth elements market was valued at $14.03B in 2025 and is projected to reach $41.15B by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 12.32% — driven by permanent magnet demand in EVs, wind power expansion, defense applications, and Western supply chain diversification mandates.

China currently controls an estimated 85–90% of global rare earth processing capacity.

That concentration has made domestic rare earth development an explicit federal priority — with Western governments funding mine-to-magnet capacity at an unprecedented pace.

SPD's mineral rights and infrastructure development capabilities align directly with that mandate — and the all-share structure allows the company to add that capability without deploying cash.

The combined company would span the supply chain from upstream raw materials to the electronics and autonomous systems that defense programs consume — a vertical integration approach that's difficult to replicate and strategically differentiated.

7 Factors That Just Put MOBX On Our Watchlist

This Morning—Monday, August 31, 2026…

1. Revenue Doubling Sequentially: Fiscal Q4 2026 guidance of $1.4M to $1.8M represents approximately 100% quarter-over-quarter growth at the midpoint — with shipments coming from the established EMI Solutions and RaGE Systems divisions.

2. Drone Acquisition With Military End-Users: The Vision Aerial deal adds NDAA-compliant, American-built drones that are already deployed with U.S. Air Force and Navy end-users — entering a U.S. drone market projected to reach $58.5B by 2033.

3. Critical Minerals Platform: The SPD acquisition brings domestic rare earth elements, critical minerals, and energy storage capabilities — targeting a supply chain dependency the federal government is actively funding alternatives to address.

4. Four-Pillar National Security Framework: The NSM Initiative establishes a disciplined growth framework across critical resources, defense and autonomous systems, energy and infrastructure, and digital technologies — with a proposed rebrand to NSM Labs pending shareholder vote.

5. Multi-Decade Macro Tailwind: The rare earth elements market is forecast to reach $41.15B by 2034 at a 12.32% CAGR, and the U.S. drone market is projected at $58.5B by 2033 — both driven by government spending and supply chain security mandates.

6. Operating Foundation Already in Place: The expansion is not being built on a blank canvas — the company's EMI Solutions and RaGE Systems divisions are generating revenue, shipping to defense and aerospace customers, and providing the credibility base the broader strategy requires.

7. Limited Shares: According to Yahoo Finance, less than 15M shares exist in the public float, the potential exists for big moves if demand begins to shift.

The evidence here tells a specific story…

A company with an established defense electronics business is using that foundation to expand into two of the federal government's highest-priority spending categories — domestic drones and critical minerals — while restructuring its identity around the national security mandate that connects all three.

Each piece reinforces the others.

The defense electronics business provides revenue and credibility.

The drone acquisition adds a qualified hardware platform with military end-users.

The critical minerals deal adds the upstream resource layer those programs depend on.

And the NSM framework ties all of it to a government spending cycle that could run for years.

Mobix Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOBX) has a tight float under 15M shares, accelerating core revenue, two pending acquisitions that open substantial new addressable markets, and a macro environment that appears to be moving in its direction.

MOBX is at the top of our screen this morning, Monday, August 31, 2026.

Get focused on this one while it’s still early.

Sincerely,
