Take A Look At VNRX While It’s Still Early

August 26, 2026

Dear Reader,

Before today’s opening bell arrives, VolitionRx Limited (NYSE AMERICAN: VNRX) deserves a closer look. The company has spent recent months advancing several diagnostic programs that could put its blood-based technology in front of much larger markets.

The next wave of diagnostics isn't going to come from better imaging machines or more expensive lab panels…

It's going to come from a simple blood draw.

Epigenetics — the study of changes in gene expression that don't alter the DNA sequence itself — has become one of the fastest-moving frontiers in medicine.

The reason is straightforward: epigenetic markers can reveal what's happening inside the body at a molecular level, often long before conventional tests raise a flag.

That applies to cancer, where catching a tumor at Stage I instead of Stage IV can mean the difference between a routine procedure and a years-long battle.

It applies to sepsis, where every hour of delayed identification can increase mortality.

And it applies to veterinary medicine, where companion animal diagnostics remain years behind what's available for human patients.

One of the most exciting names sitting at the intersection of all three is VolitionRx Limited (NYSE AMERICAN: VNRX).

Headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, with R&D centered in Belgium and offices in London, this multi-national epigenetics company has built a proprietary platform around something called nucleosome biology…

The clinical data coming out of that platform across 2026 suggests something worth paying very close attention to.

VolitionRx Limited (NYSE AMERICAN: VNRX)is topping our watchlist this morning—Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

According to Yahoo Finance, (NYSE AMERICAN: VNRX) has a float less than 12M listed as available to the public—with a float that small, the potential exists for big moves if demand begins to shift.

What Makes Nucleosome-Based Diagnostics Different

Most diagnostic approaches zero in on specific genetic mutations or isolated biomarkers…

VolitionRx takes a fundamentally different approach — measuring epigenetic changes in nucleosomes circulating in the blood.

This matters because nucleosomes can signal the presence of disease at its earliest stages, often before symptoms appear and before traditional tests catch anything.

The platform spans three major pillars: cancer detection through Nu.Q® Cancer and the breakthrough Capture-Seq™ liquid biopsy technology, sepsis and NETosis monitoring through the CE-marked Nu.Q® NETs assay, and companion animal health through Nu.Q® Vet.

Each of these pillars addresses a distinct clinical need…

And each one sits on top of a substantial addressable market.

According to the company's own TAM model, the combined addressable markets across all product pillars exceed $27B on an annualized basis — with Capture-Seq™ cancer detection alone representing approximately $23B for Multi-Cancer Early Detection, an additional $13B for Minimal Residual Disease, $3.8B for NETosis testing, and more than $1B for veterinary diagnostics.

On the cancer front specifically, new clinical data has shown that the Nu.Q® Cancer assay provides significant prognostic value in newly diagnosed lung cancer patients, helping clinicians identify likely outcomes and personalize treatment selection — the kind of real-world clinical utility that builds the case for reimbursement and routine adoption.

The company reported H1 2026 revenue of $1.4M, representing 112% growth over the same period in 2025, with operating expenses down 32% year-over-year in Q2.

And the company is in active discussions — including technical evaluations — with more than a dozen of the world's leading diagnostic and liquid biopsy companies about licensing agreements.

The Liquid Biopsy Breakthrough That Could

Change Everything

Inline Image

The biggest challenge facing liquid biopsy has been a needle-in-a-haystack problem…

Circulating tumor DNA makes up a tiny fraction of the total DNA floating in a patient's blood — sometimes less than 1%.

Most existing methods rely on deep sequencing and computational analysis to find that signal buried in noise.

VolitionRx solved it differently.

The company's Capture-Seq™ technology isolates CTCF-bound DNA from plasma — and the discovery at the heart of the method is that virtually none of this DNA comes from healthy cells.

In cancer patients, it appears to be composed almost entirely of tumor-derived DNA…

That produced >99% pure ctDNA sequencing data sets, a result the company considers a world first.

The first peer-reviewed paper detailing this technology was published in August 2026, adding meaningful scientific credibility.

In blinded validation cohorts, Capture-Seq™ detected over 95% of Stage I and II cancers at 95% specificity.

For patients, the implications could be enormous — catching cancer at Stage I or II instead of Stage III or IV changes the entire treatment equation…

And the potential use cases extend beyond initial detection to Minimal Residual Disease monitoring, where tracking whether cancer has truly been eliminated after treatment remains one of oncology's biggest unresolved challenges.

The company is already in active discussions with several large liquid biopsy and diagnostic firms to accelerate commercialization, including technical evaluations with potential licensing partners.

The vision is to license the technology to established diagnostic companies with global reach — combining Capture-Seq™ with their installed base of laboratories, analyzers, and sales infrastructure worldwide.

From Hospital Wards to Outbreak Zones

On the sepsis side of the platform, the momentum is equally striking…

The Nu.Q® NETs assay — already CE-marked and available in 27 European countries — measures elevated nucleosome levels as early markers of the immune dysregulation that leads to organ failure and death.

Clinical data has shown consistent findings across different countries and types of sepsis, with Nu.Q® H3.1 accurately distinguishing sepsis from non-infectious inflammation and delivering prognostic value for organ failure and mortality outcomes.

With an estimated 166M cases of sepsis worldwide annually, the addressable market is $3.8B

And the company just demonstrated that its technology works beyond the traditional lab setting.

In August 2026, VNRX demonstrated that its lateral flow finger-prick prototype produces results highly correlated with the automated lab assay in critically ill sepsis patients — showing a Spearman correlation of 0.85 and a Pearson correlation of 0.88.

That means the test could eventually function at the bedside, in the ER, or even as a self-test kit — similar to a COVID-19 rapid test — which would substantially expand the addressable market beyond centralized lab settings.

This opens up not just developed markets but regions with limited laboratory infrastructure.

A recent patent filing covering Nu.Q® technology for Ebola triage and treatment monitoring underscores how broadly applicable this platform could become — from hospital ICUs in Europe to outbreak zones in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The collaboration with Sysmex Corporation, a global leader in in vitro diagnostics operating in more than 190 countries, to optimize the Nu.Q® NETs assay on Sysmex's analyzer platform adds a credible commercialization pathway with significant global reach.

The Nu.Q® NETs assay has also been selected for the DETECSEPS program, a $7.3M government-backed initiative in France for real-world evaluation of early sepsis detection, on track to begin in Q3 2026.

On the veterinary front, the Nu.Q® Vet canine cancer test is already available in more than 20 countries, and the company submitted a clinical manuscript for a feline version that detected 86% of lymphomas at 97% specificity

Publication of that study is expected to unlock a $5M contractual milestone payment and could potentially double the company's total addressable market in companion animal health.

And the Nu.Q® Cancer assay is advancing through a reimbursement submission in France, supported by the Hospices Civils de Lyon — France's second-largest university hospital system — with routine clinical use anticipated by the end of 2026 and approximately €50 per test expected as revenue to the company.
