The Wheel Strategy explained step by step

We've talked about why the Options Wheel is simple and consistent…

Now let's walk through exactly how it works.

It all starts with a cash-secured put.

Imagine a stock trading at $50. Jay might sell a $47 put option, usually about two weeks out.

If the option expires worthless, that's income collected, and he simply sells another put to repeat the process.

But if the stock dips and the put is exercised, no problem, you take ownership of the shares at $47.

That's built right into the strategy.

Once you own the shares, you flip to the next stage: selling covered calls.

Let's say you sell a call at $50 or $51. If it expires worthless, you sell another. If the stock gets called away, you collect the premium and the stock sale… then you're right back to cash.

And that's where the circle closes, because as soon as the shares are called away, you go straight back to selling puts.

That circular, rinse-and-repeat process is why it's called the Wheel.

No matter what happens, you're always collecting income along the way:

Puts that expire worthless = premium in your account.

Calls on shares = more premium.

Stocks eventually called away = back to cash and ready to restart.

It's simple. It's consistent. And best of all, it's easy to manage - because most trades naturally resolve on their own. You rarely have to "close" anything manually.

And right now, you can get access to Jay's trades, training, calculators, and live coaching sessions for 30% off.
